How to change the material of particular panels and explain the parts details panel

On the external view, you will see the Parts details panel down the left hand side of the screen. In this panel you can see details such as the size of your case, hardware being used or the materials being used.

Items on this panel that show up in bold are editable, meaning item that appears on this list in bold can be changed.

While you can edit items using the materials button located in the toolbar, this just another way to do it.

How to change all panels/ extrusions

Step 1. In the parts detail panel, locate the line directly below the heading "Panels" call "Panel Type" shown in bold, double click this text and you will get this widow appear:

In this window you can change not only the panel material for the case but also the extrusions used on the case.

Step 3. Select the item you want to change, select it's replacement and click "Continue".

Step 4. Your case should update and show the new materials or Extrusion you have selected.

How to change the finish of a single panel

Step 1. In the parts detail panel, expand the section of the panel want to change is located.

Note: To expand a section you need to click the + icon, to close a section that is open is to click on the - icon.

Step 2. Once you have expanded the menu to find the panel you want to change, double click the bold text labelled "Panel Type:"

Step 3. Select your new panel material.

Step 4. Your case will update with the panel you have chosen being different to the rest of the case.
