Step 1. In the toolbar, click on the tool labelled “Place”.

Step 2. This will open the Hardware library where all of the hardware available is located.

Step 3. Click on the drop down menu labelled “Type” and select “Castor & wheel”.

Step 4. Select “18mm Castor strip”.

Note: you can also create your own custom castor Strips and save them to the library.

Step 5. The autocase will then show you all the faces that can have a castor strip applied to it, highlighted in green.

Step 6. Choose the face you would like to apply the castor strips too, as you run your mouse over the faces you will see that the edges of the selected face will turn red, click to finalise selection of said face. The face will then turn blue to confirm selection.

Step 7. Click on the green tick to confirm the application of the castor strip to your selected face or alternatively if you would like to cancel the operation you can select the red cross.

Step 8. The software will now focus on the face you have selected the castor strip will go on to and give you the following options to allow you to alter the size and position of your castor strip:

Width (top left of screen): Dictates the width of your castor board. Increase the size so that the castor board overhangs your case or decrease it to make it under hang your case.

Height (top left of screen):Dictates the Height of your castor board. Increase the size so that the castor board overhangs your case or decrease it to make it under hang your case.

Right/Left Measurement input ( located on the right hand side of the screen): Input the measurement that you require to be between the centre of the castor board and the side of the case.

Fixed Point measurements (located across the top of the screen and down the left hand side of the screen) : From the left to right and top to bottom the values show selectable default measurements that will place the the centre point of the castor board to the amount shown from the left or from the right side or the top or the bottom of the case.

Set position (top left of screen): Click this button to remove the width and height tool so you can concentrate on setting the position of the castor board.

Set Dimension (top left of screen): Click this button to remove the Measurements tool so you can concentrate on setting the sizes of the castor board.

To make the board strip shaped, shrink the size of your board to make it narrower using the Width or Height tool.

Step 9. Once you have the Castor strip in the position and size you want it to be, click the next button.

Step 10. Autocase will then show you where the castors can be located on the strip. In the top right of the screen you will see a couple of buttons which are:

Back: to go back to repeat step 8 to make changes to the position and size of the caster strip.

Left/Right Rotation: This tool rotates where the castors will be located, while the castor strip keeps its orientation.

Once you have set the castor locations as you want them then click on the green tick to confirm production of the castor board or alternatively if you would like to cancel the operation you can select the red cross.

Step 11. Select the mirror tool. The software will then show 3 work planes the the XY,ZX & YZ axises of the case, these specify the centre point of the software mirroring operation.

Step 12. Select hover your mouse over the castor strip you would like to select so that it turns red, then click on the castor strip so it turns blue, this shows you have successfully selected that castor strip.

Step 13. Select the YZ plane to mirror the castor strip to the other side of the case.

Step 14. Now click the green tick to complete the operation or the red cross to cancel.
